Mother's Day Tea in Your Garden: A Virtual Dance Experience
"Mother's Day Tea" is CoMo's annual outdoor Springtime performance. This year, we're not able to gather at Columbus's beautiful Topiary Park! Instead, join us virtually to enjoy this beautiful Columbus highlight; the intricate topiaries are a whimsical re-creation of Georges Seurat's "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte." CoMo Dancers will bring you solo works via video on this YouTube live stream - https://youtu.be/rU1HTDic14s. Donations to support CoMo's work as a nonprofit arts organization are gratefully accepted via paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/2340335. This afternoon of dance is a CoMo favorite and the perfect (virtual) outing for Mom & the whole family. We recommend enjoying your own tea & cookies during the show!
Call for Submissions: "Composing Movement in Quarantine"
What: Columbus Modern (CoMo) Dance would like to see your most creative choreography from the confines of your COVID-19 quarantine. Be creative with lighting, costumes, set, music - how can you transform your space into a unique performance location? Or, develop a site-specific work! Submissions should be stage-length (typically 3-10min, but shorter/longer will be accepted). The winner will be the video that best brings hope & enjoyment to a remote audience, in keeping with CoMo's mission of Be Entertained. Be Included (virtually right now). Be Fulfilled.
Selection Process: All video submissions will be reviewed by CoMo's adjudicators: our board & directors.
When: Starting now! All submissions must be received by Monday, March 30 at 5pm EDT.
Stipend: A $75 stipend will be awarded to the selected choreographer.

We will share a selection of the submissions including the winner & other top applications with our audiences - as selected by our adjudicators.
