CoMo Dance Company's 2nd anniversary gala commemorated the conclusion of our 2014-2015 season. Our second year was another fantastic season filled with exciting guest artists and dynamic new choreography. This performance included brand new choreography by Company dancers Caroline Martin and Laura Puscas (co-director). Favorite pieces from the Season were rediscovered under the lights of the lovely Abbey Theater in Dublin ,Ohio. And, in an athletic finale, the company premiered new choreography Courant D'air by Marlayna Locklear (Dayton Contemporary Dance Company).

CoMo Dance Company presented a moving site-specific performance at the Cultural Arts Center. Audience members followed the dancers through the gallery and other intimate spaces of this beautiful building. In Destruct Anew, modern dance brought to life the concepts of origination and destruction. This performance featured two Guest Artist premieres of newly commissioned choreography by Adam Lanter and Damien Highfield.

CoMo's first full-weekend festival included a yoga & jazz night and an outdoor picnic-in-the-park Summer Performance.
FRIDAY: Yoga, Wine, & Jazz
CoMo dancers taught a yoga-based class at 400 West Rich lounge. Then jazz musicians Bradlen Mellen (bass/cello) and Lucas Holmes (keyboard) played live while participants shared wine.
SATURDAY: Picnic on the Scioto
Two new works by company members Bridgette Rawlins and Kelsey Morozow (co-director) were featured at this lovely evening show in Scioto Park Amphitheater.

The Columbus Modern (CoMo) Dance Company took the audience on an immersive journey through the garden in Springtime at our annual Mother's Day dance performance. A drummer led the audience through the intricate Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Garden Campus, as they experienced site-specific pieces along the way. At intermission, tea and refreshments were served! Also, as a pre-show, CoMo's Children's Modern class (ages 4-9) performed a short piece.
