Skin of the earth, is all.” And so the girls did what they would never have dared to do without her permission but what they had longed to do ever since they saw her - They joined hands and danced.

Object was commissioned as a site-specific piece for Locality 2012, a bus tour performance celebrating Columbus’ bicentennial. Object explores our relationship with mirrors, traveling from curiosity, to judgment, to vanity, and finally to freedom. The piece was first performed as Object: Strand Café, a performance inside of a Short North hair salon (October 2012). The piece was altered to become Object: Shark as performed at 83 Gallery in the Short North for Holiday Hop (December 2012). Then, Object: NavStar was set among the trees for the "Afternoon Tea in the Garden" CoMo Dance performance (May 2013). Most recently, the piece became Object: Fountain as performed in CoMo's site-specific "Mother's Day Tea" at the Franklin Park Conservatory Community Garden Campus (May 2014).
