SATURDAY, June 17 from 10-10:20am
During Dublin Farmers Market @ Riverside Crossing Park Lower Plaza
Free & no RSVP required
CoMo Dance & Dublin Arts Council present a popup performance of historic dance work "Water Study (1928)" by Doris Humphrey. Thank you to the Dance Notation Bureau and Charles Woodford for granting the rights to perform this work. The company is learning "Water Study" from labanotation (a written archival tool for dance) under the guidance of restager Valarie Williams and her students (OSU Dance). "Water Study" was a groundbreaking piece for its time. It is performed with breath in silence, as the ensemble brings to life visuals of rolling, crashing, swelling water. Also at this performance, the international "Global Water Dances" choreography will be performed by the company & June 3 workshop participants.
